The Cirque du Soleil show La Nouba, exclusively in Downtown Disney West Side, gets its name from the French phrase "faire la nouba," which means "to live it up" or "to party."
Downtown Disney area features more than 70 shopping, entertainment and dining choices. Nestled along the shores of Village Lake, Downtown Disney area is a short boat ride, bus ride or walk along a scenic lakeside path away from Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa in Walt Disney World Resort.
Divided into 3 sections—Downtown Disney West Side, Downtown Disney Marketplace and Pleasure Island—Downtown Disney area is an ever-changing destination committed to keeping the experiences exciting and new.
Downtown Disney West Side
Downtown Disney West Side showcases top-notch restaurants, a 24-screen AMC Pleasure Island movie theater, and other uncommon shops. Here you'll also find the exquisite Cirque du Soleil La Nouba live entertainment show and the DisneyQuest Indoor Interactive theme park.
Downtown Disney Marketplace
Downtown Disney Marketplace provides an appealing place to take a break from Disney Theme Parks and Water Parks—especially if you're in search of Disney merchandise. Check out the largest Disney character store in the world. Or, for more of a respite, relax and dine at a lakeside restaurant.
Pleasure Island
As of September 28, 2008, all the nightclubs on Pleasure Island—8 Trax, The Adventurer's Club, Mannequins Dance Palace, BET Sound-Stage Club, Motion and The Comedy Warehouse—were closed. You'll be able to enjoy a brand new mix of shopping and dining experiences at Pleasure Island as it is transformed through 2010. Raglan Road, Fuego by Sosa Cigars, Curl by Sammy Duval, Orlando Harley-Davidson, and outdoor food and beverage locations remain open during the transition. Guest Services at Downtown Disney area covers such topics as where to find an ATM, where to park and how to rent a stroller, wheelchair or electric convenience vehicle (ECV). This list also contains some of the benefits to Guests who stay at a Disney Resort hotel.

Entertainment at Downtown Disney area takes place throughout the day and into the night with a wide array of acrobatic artistry, art, theater, music and even an indoor interactive theme park.
Dining
Dining at Downtown Disney area includes quick-service restaurants that serve fast snacks, as well as numerous specialized eateries that offer regional, ethnic and elegant fare. Many restaurants offer panoramic views of Buena Vista Lagoon; others provide live entertainment.
Shopping
Shopping at Downtown Disney area means finding everything from magnets to music to Disney character merchandise in the world's largest Disney store. Participate in pin trading, pick out some apparel or perhaps get a princess makeover at the unique Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique.
Transportation
Transportation to and from the Downtown Disney area is available via bus throughout Walt Disney World Resort and is complimentary for Walt Disney World Resort hotel Guests. For Park Guests choosing to drive, complimentary self-parking is also available.

Along with opulent sets, brilliant choreography, theatrical lighting and provocative music, La Nouba features a mix of mesmerizing high wire and flying trapezes, stunning acro-gymnastic performances and other dynamic displays of coordination and strength.
- Shopping at Downtown Disney area means finding everything from magnets to music to Disney Character merchandise in the world's largest Disney store, World of Disney. Participate in pin trading, pick out some apparel or perhaps get a princess makeover at the unique Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique.
- DisneyQuest Indoor Interactive theme park is a one-of-kind gaming experience in the Downtown Disney area with 5 floors of cutting-edge technology, virtual reality and 3D encounters, as well as favorite videogames from your past.
- Tucked inside the World of Disney store is Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. At this special salon, girls (ages 3 and older) can be magically made-up into princesses, and boys (ages 3 and older) can get the Cool Dudes Package.
